I’m getting back to work this week after a lovely and long vacation. I gave myself a vacation from creating too and used my quilting time to finish a few things from my to do list. I spent the Friday before my vacation making a yoga mat bag for my sister and then finished an “iSpy” quilt for her son during my time off. They are both boxed and ready to mail (hopefully today).
I also worked on some small projects that I have been making for a special history exhibit that will be a part of the upcoming Rising Star Quilters Guild quilt show in October. I made one that I titled “Tiny Ts.” It’s a mini version of a quilt that I made a dozen years ago that was based on a quilt my cousin’s great grandmother had made. It’s a Double T block, which was often used for fundraising quilts for the Women’s Christian Temperance Union. This tiny version is 7.5″ x 10.5″.
