Description

Winter Leaf is a sewn photograph by fiber artist Julie Brown Neu. Digital photograph printed on cotton fabric, hand-guided machine quilting, 10″ x 12.” Part of the Botanica series.

A moment of quiet stillness as Fall becomes Winter.  I printed this close-up photo of Fall maple leaf resting on snow onto cotton fabric and then heavily sewed the leaf image in shades of gold and rusty brown thread.
