Though I dabbled in sewing as a child, I didn't become a quilter until after I finished college. In the days between the end of exams and graduation, I decided that I would need a hobby to fill the hours of free time that I would have since I would no longer be studying, bought a couple of books, and started quilting. In the more than a dozen years since, quilting has gone from being a hobby to keep my hands busy after work to an absolute passion.
I began my quilting pursuits with traditional, hand quilted bed quilts, often in the bright jewel tone fabrics that I prefer. I have since added art quilts and their various techniques, such as fusing, painting, dyeing, etc. to my repertoire. Now, in addition to time spent working in my Massachusetts studio, I teach at Quilt University, lecture, and teach workshops.
